Turn out the lights and throw a Teen friendly Glow in the Dark party!
This Glow In the Dark Teen party theme is bound to brighten their night.
We suggest NOT posting Teen Party events on Facebook. Instead make your party invitations and hand them out or mail them out. This will hopefully avoid any unofficial guests turning up. Here are some free Glow in the dark party invitations. Just click on the invite you prefer and print.
…and be sure to tell guests to wear neon or white for a glowing-good time
Request that your party guests wear neon colours. White will also glow under the purple lights. Splash or paint “glow” in the dark paints on white clothing for added glow appeal.
Set the scene with decorations in neon colours. Hold your party at night. For a more intense effect cover the windows to make the party area extra dark. Illuminate the rooms by replacing regular light bulbs with black light bulbs or free-standing black lights. Your Teen party guests will be in awe as they see everything in the neon colours or white glowing under the black lights, including their teeth! Add in a few hundred glow sticks or LED accessories and watch the party come to “Neon Life”
Add a Hula Hoop or two. Turn the hoop horizontally, and then attach long lengths of anything neon-coloured or white. Ribbons, crepe paper or material. Hang these from the ceiling in the middle of the rooms.
Add glow sticks to balloons before blowing them up and they will become party lights. You can buy glow in the dark body paint at several shops around the Gold Coast. Set up a table with a mirror. Put several paintbrushes and tubes of paint on the table and let the Teen go to town. They will have a blast painting themselves.
Adding neon food colour to tint everything from sugar cookies to cake frosting! Want to make the birthday cake glow under a black light? Frost it in white icing, then adding pops of colour with shapes cut from neon-coloured fondant. Neon sprinkles add pizzazz to ice cream or cookies.
