Girl’s Night In For A Great Cause
Help fight Cancer and find a Cure! Host your very own Girl’s Night In Party. (It does not have to be held at night), in fact we held ours from 11 am and made a day of it.
Select a theme for your party.
To make ease of decorating decisions pick a theme then you have something to work off. We picked the day to be our annual Girl’s Christmas Party and titled our day “Pinkmas”. Instead of buying each other gifts or buying for our Secret Santa we donated all the money to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
As the name suggests our Christmas party was filled with Pink!
Decorating For A Girls Night In Pinkmas Party.
So it’s basically Pink, Pink & more Pink for your colour scheme and there are so many pink decorations out there. Start with table clothes, napkins and balloons. Then consider breaking up the pink with white, silver or black plates and cutlery. Pink & white (white just to compliment the pink) balloon swags hang over the windows and helium bunches scattered here and there. Balloon columns are great, they make a statement and frame doorways or table settings perfectly. If you are considering this Girl’s Night In event for a Christmas Party then a little pink on your Christmas tree gives you the finishing touch.
What To Serve At Such A “Pink” Affair?
Depending on your budget and the guests invited you may like to suggest “Bring A Plate” or request an Entry Fee and have the event catered for. If its a Bring A Plate kind of guest list then perhaps suggesting they try their cooking skills and make their plate contents pink in some way. This is always interesting and the topic of conversation at the buffet table.
The menu will depend on the time of the day that you begin. For earlier parties or afternoon soirees , High Teas, Brunches or Munch & Crunches are the way to go. So fill your menu with cakes, cupcakes, slices, muffins, scones sandwiches, and fresh fruits. A small lolly bar or lolly platter is always well visited. For later in the day or dinner events we suggest a buffet style table or Grazing Table with loads of salads, fresh fruits and finger foods, cheeses and nuts. Most people prefer to graze and mingle.
Games That Entertain
A great Ice Breaker and a simple way to get people mingling is to play a game. Human Bingo is one of the best we have come across. Everyone gets a Bingo sheet and has to ask people to sign their sheet depending on the task they have completed. Search download & print. (just type in Human Bingo Game)
A final reminder – Register your Girl’s Night In with the Cancer Foundation to receive your “GNI” Fundraising kit and helpful tips and suggestions.
